Instrument crossfades against reference sample

Here’s an ensemble I’ve found helpful for designing sound against reference audio clips.

The setup is pretty simple:

• I have three instruments, the synthesizer, a library sampler, and a library cross fader
• The MIDI gate triggers both the sample and the synthesizer
• I use the crossfader to switch between reference and synthesizer, as well as blend to hear any accents.
